Taiwan Study Tour: An exploration on Environmental Protection, Science, Technology and Culture

To enhance students’ understanding about environmental protection, science, technology and different culture, our school organized a study tour to north Taiwan from 17 to 20 June.

During the tour, students visited Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Bopiliao Historic Block to study the architectural features of Taiwan. Students also tried Taiwanese food and drinks at Shilin Night Market.

To know more about Taiwan’s effort on nature conservation and environmental protection, students went to Mangrove Nature Exhibition Hall, Beitou Thermal Valley and Tzu Chi Recycling Centre. Students even helped classify recycling paper in the Recycling Centre. The experience was meaningful.

Besides, students also participated in various DIY activities in a pineapple cake factory, local community, paper museum and robot workstation. Children enjoyed making their own pineapple cakes, soap, paper and robots.

The study tour provided students with an out-of-classroom learning experience. With their great engagement, the study tour was filled with fun and joy.
