J1 e-Learning parents workshop

Our school held two J1 e-Learning parents workshops on 13 December and 20 December. Parents had a chance to know and practise the e-platforms which can enhance their child’s learning and revision.

Training Day Camp for Prefects

We organized an adventurous outing for the prefects on 9th December, 2017 (Saturday).

Targets

  1. To enhance their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of prefects.
  2. To cultivate their morale, discipline and consolidate team spirit.
  3. To strengthen their communication and collaboration skills.

Students were interested in the activities. All of them enjoyed it.

Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) - Parents Meeting (Part I)

In order to help students and parents preparing for the SSPA , we held a parents meeting and invited two secondary school principals to share secondary school life. They were Mr. Lau from PLK Mrs. Ma Kam Ming-Cheung Fook Sien College and Dr. Lee from CCC Ming Kei College. Parents and students got a lot of information from both of them.

Visiting Sir Ellis Kadoories Secondary School (West Kowloon)

On 17th November, 23 primary six non-Chinese students joined the Information Day organized by Sir Ellis Kadoories Secondary School (West Kowloon).

Guided by the secondary school students, our students went for a campus tour. They also took part in different learning activities in e-learning and fashion design.

 

Some of our students participated in “Inter-primary Schools Hindu & Urdo Story Telling Competition”. Abdul Wahab (6B) and Kalsoom Ijaz (6A) came second and third in the competition respectively. Kaur Gurpal (6A) was also presented with merit award.

Dream Come True Education Park

Our primary 5 and 6 non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students were sponsored by St . James’ Settlement and joined the “Ethnic Minority Children’s Career& Life Planning Service Project” 

As part of the life-wide learning on 14th November, the students were able to take part in the on-the-job training. Through this activity based learning, students can unleash their learning potential and awareness towards social responsibilities.

"Music for the Millions" Concert

Our students had the opportunity to enjoy the concert by the Music Office at our school. The concert aims at promoting an interest in music among young students. Our students not only enjoyed listening to the pleasing classical music but were also able to identify the different instruments used in the performance.

Story Monster

Fifteen students were selected to participate ‘Story Monster’, a writing workshop ,which is organised by SCHOLAR last week. During the 3-hour programme, the participants learnt how to collaborate to create a story with their partners with the help of a simple animated character Story Monster. Students were happy and willing to express their views and create a story as a team that day.
